About Courtney-Brooke Johnson
I’ve spent my career collaborating with the people that make brands happen.
I watched brilliant, generous people get hollowed out by an industry that runs on adrenaline and treats burnout as the cost of being good. I recognized the pattern: before fashion, I was a professional ballet dancer, where that same relationship to pressure burns through talent just as fast. Talent was never the problem. The relationship to pressure was. That’s a pattern, and patterns can be coached.
Two decades inside fashion, culture, and entertainment (from intern to Global Communications Director at John Varvatos, to Head of Agency at RanaVerse, running campaigns alongside names from Bad Bunny to LeBron James) gave me something I didn’t expect: a reputation. People started calling me “Barbara Walters” for getting celebrities and colleagues alike to set the script aside and tell the truth. I was already doing this work. I just didn’t have the framework.
That instinct led me to an M.S. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, then Core Energy Coaching™ certification through iPEC. That gift, paired with a science-backed framework, became The CBJ Way: a coaching practice built for high-performing creatives and executives ready to lead, decide, and create from clarity instead of pressure.
